Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice in 1976. First performed by English singer and actress Julie Covington in 1976 for the concept album Evita. Madonna recorded the song in 1995 for the soundtrack to the 1996 film Evita. Madonna played the lead role of Eva Perón in the film.
