1964: Anyone Who Had A Heart By Cilla Black

Composed by Burt Bacharach (music) and Hal David (lyrics). First recorded by Dionne Warwick in 1963 for her second studio album. The most well known (perhaps) version of the song was by Cilla Black in 1964. This version reached No.1 in multiple countries. In May 2010, research published by BBC Radio 2 in the United Kingdom revealed that Anyone Who Had a Heart by Cilla Black was the most successful song of the 1960’s in the UK by a female artist. Following Cilla Black’s death in 2015, the song re-entered the UK music chart, peaking at No.41.
