Composed by Jay Livingston (music) and Ray Evans (lyrics). The song was used in the soundtrack for the Alfred Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much, which starred Doris Day. The song reached No.1 in the UK and No.2 in the USA. It won a Film Academy Award, with the alternative title Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que SerĂ¡, SerĂ¡), for Best Original Song, giving the composers their third Oscar in this category as they had also won in 1948 and 1950. Que Sera Sera, Whatever Will Be Will Be was used as the theme tune to the sitcom The Doris Day Show from 1968 to 1973. It has also been used in many adverts, films, and other television shows.
