1994: Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through By Meat Loaf

Composed and first recorded by Jim Steinman in 1981. Meat Loaf released his version in 1994. The song is a tribute to rock music, celebrating how it is always there to help you through troubled times. One of its lyrics is “You’re never alone ’cause you can put on the ‘phones and let the drummer tell your heart what to do.” In the video, Meat Loaf portrays a fortune teller who comforts a recently runaway teenager, played by American actress Angelina Jolie. The fortune teller also dissuades a young boy from joining a gang and helps other people who are lost and lonely. Angelina Jolie’s character returns to her family after the song ends. Genre: Rock.
