1988: Je ne sais pas pourquoi by Kylie Minogue

Composed by Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, Pete Waterman. Recorded by Australian singer Kylie Minogue for her debut studio album, Kylie. The title of the song varies in different parts of the world. In Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the USA, it was re-titled I Still Love You, followed by the original French title in brackets. In some parts of Europe it was Je ne sais pas pourquoi (I Still Love You). However, whatever the variations, the meaning of the song is still the same. The translation for Je ne sais pas pourquoi (French to English) is “I do not know why.” I Still Love You (I do not know why). The video begins with Kylie waiting in the rain for her date to arrive and then she heads to a cafĂ©. Kylie’s hair is set in waves and she is wearing a blue dress and matching angora cardigan. Later in the video, a street scene is filmed in (mostly) black and white and shows Kylie wearing a floral dress as she dances with a man. Kylie is the only one to be shown in colour in that scene. The song reached No.1 in Finland. Genre: Teen Pop.
