1987: Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You by Glenn Medeiros

Composed by Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. First recorded by American singer George Benson in 1984 for his twenty-second studio album, 20/20. This version was released in Europe only in 1985 and reached No.29 in Belgium and No.43 in the Netherlands. Glenn Medeiros recorded the song in 1986 (released 1987 in Australia and the USA, and 1988 in the UK) for his debut album, titled Glenn Medeiros. A visiting radio executive from KZZP in Phoenix, Arizona, USA heard the song and took the record back to Phoenix where it became a national hit through word of mouth. It went on to reach No.1 in multiple countries. Genres: Adult Contemporary, Pop Rock.
