Composed and recorded by Jamaican vocalist Carl Douglas. The song was intended to be on the B-side of the record, with “I Want to Give You My Everything” (composed by Carl Douglas and Larry Weiss) being on the A-Side and the song to be promoted most. However, after listening to both songs, Robin Blanchflower of Pye Records insisted that “Kung Fu Fighting” be on the A-side instead. Kung Fu Fighting went on to reach No.1 in multiple countries.
