Composed by Berry Gordy (Motown record label founder), Bob West, Willie Hutch, Hal Davis. Recorded by The Jackson 5 for their third studio album, titled Third Album. The song was The Jackson 5’s fourth No.1 single in a row. It was also their last song (as a group) to reach No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in the USA. In his autobiography, Moonwalk, Michael Jackson said of the song “I’ll Be There was the song that solidified The Jackson 5’s careers and showed audiences that the group had potential beyond bubblegum pop.”
